Let’s start this journey in search of our zen side by visiting the coolest beach in the city. La Patacona is something else: once you cross the line that separates it from Malvarrosa, you find yourself in another world – and, above all, with fewer people.

There you’ll find one of the most successful cafés in the city: La Más Bonita. In summer it’s amazing, with incredible sea views, but it’s well worth a visit the rest of the year too. Sit down and enjoy a good breakfast with the first rays of sun, or treat yourself to one of their cakes in the afternoon.

Maybe you’ve walked past and felt like giving it a go. If you fancy something different, take the plunge and rent one of the boats that let you sail around one of the city’s icons.

It’s really cheap, and you can choose between classic rowing boats, canoes and other kinds of boats to have a laugh and feel like an urban Jack Sparrow.

In case you didn’t know, in the Ruzafa neighbourhood you’ll find those iconic private karaoke rooms we’ve seen hundreds of times in films about Asian executives. It’s the perfect way to belt out your favourite songs and get rid of all the stress you’ve built up during the week.

They say music soothes the savage beast, so here you can rent your own little room, bring along whichever beasts you like and show off how out of tune you all are once you’re out of the shower.

The idea that nothing gets solved by punching is only half true – and here’s the proof. In Valencia we have a place where we can take it out on a punching bag instead of on someone else.

It’s a chain of gyms where you get fit with jabs, hooks and uppercuts. Not only will your endorphins go through the roof, you’ll also meet new people and do sport in a different way.

And to finish, I recommend one of those classics that never fail. There’s nothing like relaxing at a spa, and in Valencia we’re spoilt for choice. I’m going to recommend one very close to the coworking, so you can head over as soon as you’ve finished arguing with your latest client.

It’s on Avenida Regne de València, and you can enjoy its facilities for very little money, with services good enough for the most demanding.

So, you know, don’t let stress get the better of you. Living in a city like ours is a privilege: just walking through its streets or sitting in one of its parks is enough to change your mood. But if that still doesn’t work, try one of these options. And in the meantime, don’t forget to visit Llum Coworking if you need a calm place to work – the place where fun articles like this one, which has already helped you release some stress, get written.

Hello, Llum friends! How’s your day going? I picture you busy with countless international meetings, buying and selling shares or enjoying the sweet taste of business success.

Or, well… doing what you can to pay your self-employed contributions, the rent, gas, electricity, internet, the kids’ clothes, petrol… OK, I’ll stop there before I get depressed.

Let’s be honest, things are tough, there’s no point pretending otherwise. We’ve spent months swimming against the tide, working more than we should and earning less than we deserve. And what’s worse, it looks like it could get even busier.

That’s why, and because we need to release all this stress, I wanted to write this post with the 5 best places to relax in Valencia. You know what they say: power is nothing without control. So stop for a moment, read this article, relax and come for a stroll around the streets of the city of the Turia.

[83

post-19450","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-about-valencia
