My name is Ariadna and I’m Canarian at heart.
I’m the founder of Llum and I also work in the coworking like any other coworker, designing websites under the brand Arysa.
As a freelancer I’ve worked in lots of different spaces throughout my career, but there was always something missing (or something too much) for me to feel 100% comfortable. One day I threw caution to the wind and decided to open my own coworking: Llum.
I chose the name LLUM precisely because of all the light we have (Llum means light in Valencian), and it felt like the perfect name.
But this mess I got into wouldn’t get by without one of those battery-recharging smiles: Lily’s.
She is my right hand in Llum, a K-Pop fan, gamer, creative to unsuspected limits, and so homemade that she has made our coworking her home since she first walked through the door.
We have been open since 2018 and here a lot of professionals from different areas (design, photography, personal shoppers, language teachers, translators, marketing people, engineers, videographers, copywriters…) have dropped in, as you see, we have a very varied environment, but always characterized by being a quie space which is full of good vibes. There are people who have been with us since we opened in 2018 and for some reason… nobody stays where they are not comfortable.
When I founded Llum, I didn’t do it thinking like a businesswoman, but as just another freelancer in the coworking 👩💻. I was going to work here too, so I wanted everyone who came to feel the same as me: comfortable and in a pleasant atmosphere ❤️
The result is a space designed with love and wonderful people who fill it with life every day (along with my plants).
A coworking is a place where you don’t just go to work – you also find people who inspire you, who listen when you’re having an awful day and who help you whenever they can to get out of the mental rut you sometimes find yourself in.
And even if it sounds like a cliché, when you connect with other professionals, whether from your field or a different one, joint projects often come about.
It all sounds very idyllic, but it’s true. In the end, a really great atmosphere is created. Don’t forget we spend most of our time at work, so what better place to do it than in a space like this?
